The national entrepreneurs and traders association has organized and ready to inaugurate the first national youth entrepreneurs Conference at Motiv Bugolobi old port bell road in Kampala with the theme of empowering the next generation of business leaders on 7th August 2026.
The conference is supported and sponsored by Uganda national bureau of standards, Uganda manufacturers association, MTN Uganda, Centenary Bank, Coca-cola and other corporate companies.
The young entrepreneurs in Uganda face structural and operational bottlenecks including lack of access to affordable capital, skills mismatch in the education system and restrictive regulatory frameworks.
These challenges are compounded by inadequate infrastructure, tribalism and social economic vulnerabilities that hinder both creation and scaling of entrepreneurs.
"We are ready to advise young entrepreneurs how to do business, networking, guide them in untapped ideas and building partnerships for personal growth, said Thadeus Nagenda Musoke the President of NETA.
The National entrepreneurs and traders association of Uganda is an umbrella body dedicated to empowering local traders, entrepreneurs and small, medium enterprises through business advocacy, financial accessibility and capacity building.
NETA represents the Voice of traders by engaging government and regulatory bodies, champion fair policies and protect business rights, the association provides saving and SACCO schemes offering access to affordable credit facilities and welfare programs, equips small and medium enterprises with training, mentorship and digital business solutions to help them scale in global markets and facilitates strategic partnerships including fully funded missions to countries like China to boost manufacturing.
